Tournament Information

 

ONLINE ENTRY

To participate in the tournament, all teams must complete the online entry here and submit an online payment at that time.

You may mail your payment, but full payment must be received by Friday, July 5, 2024, at: PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, PO Box 7800, Leesburg, VA 20177-7800, Attention: Dave Carver. 

Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until payment is received. Early online entries are encouraged as a maximum number of teams can be accepted for each age division.

Rules

The official 2023 USA Softball Fastpitch softball rulebook and national by-laws shall govern all playing rules.

 

Awards

Awards package sizes will be based on the number of teams in the tournament per USA Softball Code.

 

Parks

Several top-tier facilities in Loudoun County will be used for this event, including the parks listed below.  The tournament website above provides each facility's driving directions and park information. The daily park assignments for each age/class bracket will not be known until shortly before the event and are always subject to change. 

SOFTBALL & BATS

The tournament ball will be played with the AD Star USA Softball Approved, yellow leather cover, .47 cor.  

All bats must be tested before use in this event. Testing will be conducted at the opening celebration and at specific designated tournament sites. 

 

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MERCHANDISE

USA Softball National Championship apparel and souvenirs, such as t-shirts and pins, will be sold during the Opening Celebration and at each park throughout the tournament.  All teams registered by the pre-order deadline will be emailed instructions on pre-ordering their tournament t-shirts. Merchandise will be available online at Team IP’s website for 30 days after the event's conclusion.

 

Team CHECK-IN

Required Materials – USA Softball Championship Team Roster & Team Insurance, all insurance brands are accepted.

All players will be required to check in before playing in the event. At this check-in, the manager must turn in a USA Championship Roster, fully signed by players and parents, as well as a copy of their Championship Entry form and a copy of team insurance. Players must have a photo ID such as a driver’s license, school ID, pool pass or library card. We will accept a yearbook picture that identifies the player by name with a picture. A birth certificate with a player photo will suffice as a last resort.

The mandatory Player Check-in will occur on Wednesday, July 17th at the Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park as part of the family Tournament Celebration and player/coach lunch. If a player cannot make the Player Check-in, we will have player check-in sites available, but they may not be at the site you are assigned to play. We cannot check in entire teams outside of July 17th.

There will be more information on the Tournament Celebration as the date gets closer.  

The mandatory Managers' Meeting will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Lodge on the grounds of Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park.

Tournament Schedule

The USA Softball Eastern Nationals will utilize a 5-game format consisting of 3 pool games that will be used to seed teams into a double elimination bracket. The tournament director will set the exact format of the tournament (number of games, number of teams in each pool, final standings, etc.) following the USA Softball Code in the event of inclement weather or other factors that prevent the tournament from being completed.

Pool and bracket schedules, standings and results can be found here. These are updated at the end of each game. Scores, standings and brackets become final 20 minutes after the conclusion of each game. Please check the scores and brackets for accuracy after each game.

In the event of inclement weather, please check here for field status, delays or cancellations.
