Loudoun Destination Restaurant. "Eat Drink Simply" - this is the motto at The Wine Kitchen and it permeates every aspect of this welcoming restaurant. Situated in a cozy King Street space in historic downtown Leesburg, the Wine Kitchen’s 40 seats fill quickly during peak dining hours. As the name implies, there is a strong focus on wine and guests can order from a rotating menu of over 30 wines either by the taste, glass, flight, or full bottle. Chef Justin Garrison takes advantage of local and seasonal foods to create the menu at this Seasonal American Bistro. While the menu changes regularly, a few dishes have gained such a fan base they have become staples on the menu. The "Chicken and Waffles" is one such dish with its perfectly fried pieces of succulent quail served over cornmeal waffles and drizzled with bacon caramel syrup. The dishes at Wine Kitchen are small to medium plates, perfect for exploring the menu and sharing with friends. Owners Michael Mercer and Jason Miller are often visible in the restaurant. Whether they’re greeting guests or making recommendations on wine and food, their laid back, warm approach truly makes you feel like you’re walking into the home of a friend.
