OverviewLoudoun Destination Restaurant. Housed in a turn-of-the century People’s National Bank building in downtown Leesburg, Lightfoot’s exterior is impressive, historic, and elegant. Once you’ve dined at Lightfoot, you’ll find that the restaurant delivers on the promise of a memorable dining experience matching the first impression the structure makes. The dining room’s high ceilings are adorned with original 1920s French posters and a large marble staircase leads to private dining rooms and the open mezzanine Piano Bar. The ceiling is cove-coiffed in mahogany, carved plaster, and wood molding with The People’s National Bank medallion flanking the molding. The former bank vault now houses the restaurant’s award-winning wine list. Chef Ingrid Gustavson describes her menu as "modern American seasonal with an international twist." One of Chef Ingrid’s most popular dishes is her Fried Green Tomatoes, topped with jalapeno cheddar cheese, sautéed shrimp, and Szechwan chili cream. Lightfoot’s dining experience is described as casual elegance, offering a comfortable atmosphere where walk-ins are welcome, whether you’re dressed in jeans, business casual attire, or black tie. With their warm welcome to all, elegant atmosphere, and quality cuisine, Lightfoot certainly has created a page for itself in Loudoun’s culinary story.
