Opening Celebration

Go Retro in LoCo!

All teams and their families are invited to kick-off the tournament by participating in the event’s opening ceremony celebration held at Championship Plaza’s field #1 (turf) at Hanson Park (22831 Hanson Park Drive Aldie, VA 20105) on Wednesday, July 9 starting at 2:30 p.m. Concessions will be open at the park.

Get in the spirit with our RETRO PARTY theme at the opening celebration with a team parade, games, relays, official merchandise sales, and more!

Teams can arrive by 2:30pm, start to line up at 3:00pm for the team parade scheduled to start at 3:30pm. Game and activities will last until 5:00 pm. (Feathers or other pieces of costumes that could come off and liter the field are strictly prohibited. Canopy tents are permitted outside the field, but no spikes are allowed – bring weights. Teams are encouraged (not required) to create and submit a team TikTok video that shows off their personality utilizing the RETRO PARTY theme. Each submitted TikTok will be compiled into one video with link available for viewing during the tournament. Please use only a clean version of any song recordings. Email a copy of your TikTok file to TikTok@aboutbwf.com. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, July 1 COB.
