Rural Loudoun County is home to experienced and established farmers, some of which harvest many crops for the summer season. Fortunately for you, these farmers make appearances at local farmers markets throughout the county, with one market in almost every community from Lovettsville to Middleburg. Discover roadside stands, farms with markets onsite and cooperative markets sharing the bounty of Loudoun’s farms with residents and visitors. Loudoun Valley Homegrown Markets Cooperative
With multiple locations throughout Loudoun, the LVHMC Loudoun Farmers Market hosts 4 seasonal markets each week. These markets are “producer only” meaning that the vendor must be the grower or producer of ALL the products they sell, and members must produce within a 125-mile radius of Loudoun County. Shopping at the LVHMC farmers markets provides a forum for learning how the food is grown, who grew it, and why it tastes so good. These weekly markets also host cooking demonstrations and kid- friendly activities that are free and open to the public. Below is the LVHMC Farmers Market schedule:
Cascades Farmers Market – located at 21060 Whitfield Drive Sterling, VA
Open every Sunday year-round from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Leesburg Saturday Farmers Market – located at Virginia Village Shopping Center
Open every Saturday year-round from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Loudoun Station Farmers Market – located in Ashburn, VA
Open every Saturday year-round from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Leesburg Wednesday Market – located at Virginia Village Shopping Center
Open every Saturday year-round from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The EatLoCo marketplaces offer a treasure trove of fresh produce from regional farms, homemade baked goods and various artisan goods for you and your family to enjoy. With live music, food trucks and can’t-miss vendors, the EatLoCo Marketplaces are in multiple locations throughout Loudoun County and offer fun for the entire family. Items for sale at the EatLoCo Marketplaces must be grown, raised, produced, caught or assembled by the selling food or craft vendor and must be located within a 200-mile radius of the market. One Loudoun Marketplace
Open year-round every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Purcellville Marketplace – located outside of Dragon Hops Brewing
Open year-round every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Brambleton Marketplace – located outside of the Regal Cinemas in Brambleton
Open year-round every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Farmers markets are nationwide outlets for agricultural producers to increase awareness and the summer season is the perfect time to visit a local farmers market, talk to farmers about their produce and buy seasonal, organic goods.
