Glory Barbaris is the founder of Always Creating Studio LLC, a wedding and event décor and design firm that specializes in Event Coordination and Design, Art Direction, and Styling for Elegant, Modern Brides, Corporate Events, and Brands. A blogger for over ten years, Glory is also the founder and editor of the popular fashion, lifestyle and travel blog, Always Creating Blog and is a Social Media Influencer with more than with 82,000 followers on Instagram. Ms. Barbaris is also the founder of Always Creating DIGITAL, a social media management and consultancy firm that provides social media, branding and digital content marketing for businesses, creative entrepreneurs, and brands. As a Social Media Influencer and product stylist, she works with brands and businesses to create targeted social media content for specific audiences. Katie BarchasKatie Barchas Wilson – President & Chief Marketect, The Market Group Inc.

Katie Barchas Wilson founded The Market Group Inc. in 2012 to focus on her true passions: branding, events, promotions and philanthropy. In January 2013, Katie launched the High-Heeled Happy Hour; each honors a female business professional and/or community leader who selects a charity beneficiary for a portion of the event proceeds that evening (with over $60,000 raised to date for local charities). In September 2015, Katie was recognized in Leesburg Today's “40 Under 40” awards. She was named to the “Women 100 List” in Loudoun Business Journal's 2016, 2017, and 2018 “Women Who Mean Business” Issues.  Katie has served as Co-Chair for Loudoun’s “40 Under 40,” on the board of the DC Chapter of Dress for Success, the Leadership Committee of the Loudoun Young Professionals, the House Committee of Loudoun Golf and Country Club, and as PR and Events Coordinator of the BNI Historic Leesburg Business Alliance.

 

 Rebecca Barnes – Publisher, Brides & Weddings of Northern Virginia Magazine & Director of Women’s Wedding Network

Described as a “serial entrepreneur”, Rebecca Barnes has successfully built numerous businesses in her 30-year career, three of which have won the new business of the year. She was the youngest female chair for the largest chamber in Northern Virginia, Founding Task Force member, Past Chair and Board of Regents member for Leadership Prince William, and a longtime volunteer of the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, currently serving on their board and as Public Information Officer. Rebecca is the Publisher of the award-winning magazine Prince William Living, and in 2016, she took over publishing Brides & Weddings of Northern Virginia. She also runs the Women’s Wedding Network, a monthly industry networking luncheon.

 

Chris ColesChristopher Coles – General Manager, Dulles Airport Marriott

Christopher Coles has over 33 years in the hospitality industry with much of that time spent with the Marriott Corporation. He became the General Manager at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott in 2010. Over the past 8 years Chris has been instrumental in leading his hotel to achieve and exceed financial, Guest Satisfaction and Employee Engagement goals. Chris is also deeply involved in the community, sponsoring the Washington Dulles Airport 5K/10K event benefiting the Special Olympics. He is active with the Healthy Babies Organization and presently sits on the Visit Loudoun and Virginia Restaurant Lodging and Travel Association boards, as well as being a member of the Visit Loudoun Wedding Advisory Committee.  Chris is also a member of Loudoun Chamber of Commerce and the Committee for Dulles.

Casie Griffith Loudoun InsuranceCasie Griffith, Commercial Lines Director at Loudoun Insurance Group

Casie brings over twelve years of experience and a passion for helping her clients find the best solutions for their insurance needs.  With a concentration on commercial insurance, Casie and her team help Loudoun’s business owners protect their businesses and works with them to find the right coverage to best suit their needs.  In early 2016, Casie earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, making her an even more valuable advisor for her clients.  Casie is active in the community and served on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization.  Casie was born and raised in Maryland and has called Loudoun County home for the past thirteen years.  She currently resides in Leesburg with her husband, Kylee and they are expecting their first child later this year.

Kevin Olivera – President, Olivera Music Entertainment

Kevin Oliver, President of Olivera Music Entertainment, has worked in the special event industry for over 30 years as an event producer, entertainment manager, and musician. OME has been awarded the International Special Events Society’s “DC Capital Award” for Best Entertainment Production three times. Kevin is also the immediate past president of Hunt Country Celebrations and serves on the Visit Loudoun Wedding Advisory Committee.

 

MaryLou Pernod – Northeast Regional Director, The Knot

MaryLou Pernod has been with The Knot for over eight years and is the Regional Director for the Northeast Region. Her responsibilities are from Virginia to Maine. With over 20 years of local online and print advertising experience, she is passionate about helping local wedding pros grow their business and connect with couples. She frequently speaks at local associations and workshops about today's Millennial couple, their trends, customer service preferences and more.

Robert Weil, Member and Manager Law Offices of Robert J. Weil, PLLC, has been in practice for 34 years, Mr. Weil has spent the past 22 years representing tax-exempt organizations and small businesses in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.   Mr. Weil’s practice is focused on addressing the day-to-day general legal and business needs. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. 

 

 

Debbie Zurschmeide-SchoebDebbie Zurschmeide-Schoeb – The Stable at Bluemont Vineyards

Debbie is a JMU graduate (Physical Education) and Loudoun resident since 1974. She owned and operated Kids Kinetics Gymnastics/Adult Fitness Gym for nearly a decade before joining her family at Great Country Farms in 2002. In 2007 she became the Senior Wedding Experience Manager at The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard, a joint family business with Great Country Farms and Dirt Farm Brewing. Debbie serves on the Visit Loudoun Wedding Advisory Committee and is a member of Hunt Country Celebrations.



 

Mark Elie - Special Events Coordinator for the Loudoun County Office of Emergency Management

Mark Elie is the Special Events Coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management for Loudoun County. Prior to his last two years with Loudoun, Mark was a police officer in Prince George’s County, MD for 28 years. The last 13 years of those year’s he worked in the Special Events Section coordinating the County’s special events for the police department, with a primary focus on events held at FedEx Field.
