The American Chamber Players in Concert

Led by violist Miles Hoffman — founder and artistic director, and well known NPR classical music commentator — the American Chamber Players also comprise Stephen Balderston (cello), Joanna Maurer (violin), Sara Stern flute) and Anna Stoytcheva (piano). With a repertoire ranging from familiar masterpieces to neglected gems to newly commissioned American works, they have toured widely in North America, performed countless times on national and local radio, and are well known locally for their residencies at the Library of Congress and the Kreeger Museum. The Washington Post described them as “an extraordinarily talented group who play beautifully together…they have established standards of chamber music performance equal to any in the world.” With their warm luxurious sound, and delightful instrumental combinations, the ACP provide a perfect start to the Waterford season.
