Horse Trials are part of a sport called “eventing,” which began more than a century ago among mounted cavalry officers as a demonstration of their horses’ strengths and their own riding skills.
Morven Park has hosted nationally and internationally recognized Horse Trials since 1973 originally under the direction of cavalry master Major John Lynch and the Morven Park International Equestrian Institute. Today, we are proud to continue this legacy and host the Morven Park Spring Horse Trials and the Morven Park International & Fall Horse Trials. As one of six venues in the United States to hold a CCI4*-L competition, we invite competitors and spectators to enjoy the exciting discipline of eventing at all levels.
Eventing features three different equestrian disciplines: dressage, show jumping, and cross-country. Although the competition is divided into skill levels where men and women of all ages compete head-to-head. For more information, please visit https://inside.fei.org/fei/disc/eventing
All dogs must be on a leash, pursuant to Morven Park policy and USEF Rule GR1301. Paragraph 6.6
