Local Dining Favorites

Want a bite of a juicy local secret?

Alright, fine. We confess… It’s basically impossible for us to pick our favorite restaurants. We can’t help it — we’re just such big foodies here in Loudoun! But, as much as our restaurant list tempts us to order one of everything, we know our eyes can be bigger than our stomachs. So, after much taste-testing, we’ve picked the top 10 best spots to experience Loudoun’s food scene like a local. From intimate downtown eateries to grand gourmet dining, Loudoun County is full of restaurant options for every occasion and craving!

  • South Street Under (Leesburg) Sandwiches, soups, and their locally famous ciabatta bread. Ciabatta-bing, batta-boom!
  • Delirium Cafe USA (Leesburg) The first US location of this Belgian brand brings unique craft beers and food to Loudoun. (P.S., Don’t forget the frites!)
  • Döner Bistro (Leesburg) Döners (the Turkish-German version of a Greek gyro), traditional German fare, and a vast selection of beers — Prost!
  • Ford's Fish Shack (South Riding/Ashburn/Lansdowne) You can catch us daily at Ford’s Fish Shack, enjoying round after round of fresh-off-the-hook seafood.
  • Little Apple Pastry Shop (Aldie) Think: Thanksgiving sandwiches, fluffy cinnamon rolls, and cakes… and baby cakes. BABY CAKES! Can you even?
  • Melt Gourmet Cheeseburgers (Leesburg) Honestly, it’s hard to do these burgers justice with mere words. So we’ll just say this: “Best of Loudoun” winners.
  • Monk's BBQ (Purcellville) If we had our way, we’d be eating an unholy amount of Monk’s. Their brisket, pastrami, ribs, and more—including their line of sauces made with Loudoun beer, wine, and spirits—are too sinful to resist!
  • Mom's Apple Pie Company (Leesburg) Southern Living Magazine dubbed Mom’s pies some of the "Best Pies in the South". Need we say more?!  Local ingredients make them taste that much sweeter.
  • Roots 657 (Leesburg) This gourmet eat-in and take-out café + market features regionally-curated products and local artisans goods. It doesn’t hurt that the guy in charge is a Certified Master Chef!
  • Sense of Thai St (Ashburn) Go from northern Virginia to southeast Asia in one bite. Experience Thai cuisine like never before at this sensational restaurant and bar in One Loudoun.
