Craving some celebrations in your calendar? Sounds like you need to nourish your soul with some social events in Loudoun. Whether you’re a foodie or a yogi (or both!) we’ve got what your weekend needs!

Take a Bite Out of Loudoun

It’s the most delicious time of the year; restaurant week season is officially upon us! Hardcore food-lovers may have gotten a taste of restaurant week menus recently — but, trust us, those were just an appetizer. Bring on the main course and take a bite out of Loudoun Restaurant Week! Join us for nonstop noms as Loudoun’s culinary community serves up un-fork-gettable dishes. Take this tasty opportunity to try out new restaurants and gather around the table with your favorite foodie friends, culinary companions, and taste buds. So, add some flavor to your Friday, spice up your Saturday and savor your Sunday with the 30-plus restaurants kicking off Loudoun Restaurant Week on the 24th. Oh hey, gourmet!

Hungry for more? Nosh on international cuisine at Saturday’s World Heritage Festival! Please your palate with ethnic foods, fresh smoothies and traditional beverages. (Trust us, these authentic meals are the real deal.) Ida Lee Park is your passport to Bolivia, Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, India, Japan, Lebanon, Romania, Turkey and further distant lands! Widen your worldview by watching a one-of-a-kind folk dance performance. Collect cultural souvenirs from your “travels” by exploring the array of 60-plus vendors displaying everything from fine art to jewelry, ceramics, crafts and every creative item in between. Go global in LoCo!

Celebrate Good Times!

Here in Loudoun, we can always find a good reason to celebrate — especially when the weekend comes back around! First up, put on your party pants and ring in Greenhill Winery & Vineyard’s 5th Anniversary this Friday night. Swoon to live music, sip on champagne and savor a Mediterranean-themed menu by Market Salamander. And the icing on top? Rose buttercream cupcake by Signature Sweets By Amanda for each of the first 100 guests! Now that’s what we call a happy anniversary.

Parents, we know you’re ready to celebrate back-to-school! Head straight to Delirium Cafe’s Hops Garden for a Saturday lesson in lager. For all those whose favorite subject is Recess, Delirium can teach you how to work hard and play harder! The restaurant has all your favorite school supplies: burgers, hotdogs, waffle funnel cakes, raffle prizes and a little schoolhouse rock (aka live tunes by Paxton). So, meet us at Delirium’s Back to School Bash to practice your ABC’s… Ale, Brews and Cold ones, that is. Cheers, summer school graduates — we made it!

Stretch out Your Weekend

After all that celebrating, bring it back down to Earth and get grounded with some good ol’ yoga. Rack up those sun salutations on Sunday with your choice of not one, not two, but three yoga classes. Clearly, we weekend warriors can’t get enough of that warrior pose!

Where better to perfect your yoga flow than in the pool?  Dip your toe into a 90-minute Water Yoga Workshop at Salamander Resort & Spa. Fuel your body with heat as you bend to both Hatha and Kundalini yoga moves, using noodles, weights, resistance and buoyancy. After class, bliss out in true spa style with lavender oil for your temples and replenish with a delicious smoothie. Reserve your spot in this ohm-azing class today!

If un{wine}ding is how you destress, relax and reinvigorate at Fabbioli Cellars during  Yoga with a Wine Tasting and Food Pairing! The class will have you feeling like a yoga guru and a sommelier with wine glass in hand. There’s also Vineyasa Yoga & Wine at Greenhill Winery & Vineyard. Enjoy an hour of tranquil yoga followed by breakfast and mimosas. We’re very {grape}ful that all skill levels are welcome to both classes! So, roll out the mat before you roll into the work week. Come Monday, you’ll be thinking, “Back to the office? …Nama{stay} in Loudoun County, thanks.”
