The sun may be setting on summer but, in Loudoun, we just see that as another reason to celebrate. Go straight from Loudoun Restaurant Week into a weekend of festivals, fun and more food!

Festival Season

Great Country Farms

Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Festival

When it comes to fall festivals, there certainly aren’t slim pickin’s here in Loudoun! Harvest season is officially upon us, which means back to school and back to nature. Each September weekend  join Great Country Farms in celebrating everything apple. Enjoy live music, get lost in the corn maze and pick your own apples!  Savor the fruits of your labor and munch on juicy apples and fresh cider donuts. For those in classroom mode, get to the core of apple cider history when you learn how the Zurschmeide family juiced it up back in 1865. Thanks to this fruity festival, your first lesson of the school year is, “Don’t worry, be h{app}y!”

Oxtober Bier

Porktoberfest at Old Ox Brewery

Looking for something a little harder than apple cider? You’re in luck because Old Ox Brewery is celebrating the season of beer with the release of its Oxtober Bier. Come jam out to live music, play games… and, you know what, wear lederhosen if it’s calling to you. Plus, you don’t have to worry about hogging all the beer at Porktoberfest because there will also be plenty of excellent ResQ BBQ dishes to choose from. (What’s festival season without a little pigging out, right?) Das sounds like a good time to us!

LoCo Musicians Festival

LoCo Musicians Festival

If you’re ready to cancel out the noise of your day-to-day and tune into the weekend at full volume, come belt it out outside the Beltway for the LoCo Musicians Festival! For followers of the DMV music scene, this festival is a can’t-miss. With more than 30 of your your favorite Loudoun bands and solo singers gathered at 868 Estate Vineyards, it’s practically the Lollapalooza of Loudoun! Your attendance also cultivates creativity within this community, as monetary donations to this free event support Loudoun County’s talented emerging artists with new equipment. And with beer, wine, wine slushies and food available for sale, there’s nothing stopping you from hanging out and humming along with us all day!

Happy Labor Day!

Salamander End of Summer Bash

End of Summer Bash at Salamander Resort & Spa

Close out your summer in resort style with the whole family and celebrate Labor Day the Salamander way! You can test your arm at the dunk tank, slide down the giant slip and slide, dodge through a water balloon fight and much more! You’ve made it all summer long without staining your favorite white pants… If that isn’t reason enough to celebrate, we don’t know what is. See you on the Equestrian Center Lawn!

Brunch at Copperwood Tavern

Labor Day Brunch at Copperwood Tavern

A bonus day in your weekend means an extra chance to brunch, and we know you’re not one to turn down an opportunity like that. So, seize the day and make your way to Copperwood Tavern with friends, family and pups (on the patio) for some much-deserved leisure. Raspberry Belgian Waffles, Shrimp and Smoked Gouda Grits and Beef Jerky Bloody Mary's… oh, my!
