Friday, December 6th
Start the weekend off in Historic Downtown Leesburg as the town celebrates First Friday. The downtown businesses host live music, local art shows, and wine tastings along with great sales and specials. December’s First Friday event will also feature the town’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Saturday, December 7th
On Saturday, the town of Middleburg hosts their annual Christmas in Middleburg event. The day kicks off with the local hunt and hounds parading down Main Street in their hunting pinks followed by a mid-afternoon traditional holiday parade. Between parades, shop the many sales and specials throughout the town’s boutiques.
Saturday, December 6th – Sunday December 7th
Art and antique lovers have a lot to shop from this weekend with three shopping events happening across the county. The Leesburg Fine Arts & Crafts Show features over 90 local and regional artisans selling handmade items including candles, stained glass, jewelry, linens, and more.
The town of Lovettsville pays tribute to the town’s German heritage during their annual Lovettsville Christkindlmarkt. This traditional German Christmas market will feature over 20 local artists, crafters, and vendors in addition to live entertainment, traditional German market food, and entertainment for the kids.
“Invest in the future by recycling the past” is the motto at the 44th Annual Purcellville Heritage Antiques Fair. The fair features antique dealers from around the country selling everything from furniture to folk art to deco and diamonds.
Looking for a gift for the wine lover in your life? Or perhaps you need to restock your wine cabinet before the holiday guests arrive. Breaux Vineyards and Sunset Hills Vineyards are both hosting a Holiday Open House this weekend (every weekend throughout December at Sunset Hills). Enjoy mulled wine and holiday snacks as you shop the craft vendors and winery retail shop at Breaux. Sunset Hills will also offer mulled wine, light fare, and live music to get you into the holiday spirit. The winery’s retail shop features wine-theme items, jewelry, and local art.
