Through the magic of the holiday season, Santa will be making several appearances in Loudoun this weekend! He’ll be leading holiday parades through Loudoun’s towns, jamming out to some live music, and dining with the kids. Fortunately we've got the scoop on where you can find Santa.
Starting at 10am on Saturday, Santa and his friends will parade down King Street in the historic downtown district during the annual Leesburg Christmas & Holiday Parade. Through the help of his elves, Santa will also be the guest of honor during Christmas in Purcellville, a day-long celebration with highlights including breakfast with Santa, a Christmas parade through the town, and additional activities throughout the day.
If your children are looking for a little one-on-one time with Santa, sign them up for the Teddy Bear Tea with Santa at Salamander Resort or Lunch with Santa at Lansdowne Resort. Both resorts are hosting a variety of holiday events throughout the weekend for children and adults including cooking classes, kids camps, holiday food and drink specials, and more so that you can truly make the weekend a holiday getaway for the whole family.
After the parades, meals, and other guest appearances, Santa will be jamming with local musicians at the town of Lucketts’ Bluegrass Christmas Jamboree. Many of the town’s popular performers will mix and match their talents to create a holiday celebration bound to have you tapping your feet, singing along, and maybe even grabbing Santa for a holiday dance!
After all this time visiting Santa, be sure you have a beautiful Christmas tree ready for all of the gifts he’ll be bringing your family! Loudoun has several farms offering choose-and-cut Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, poinsettias, and other holiday greenery.
