Welcome November with a weekend full of fun in Loudoun! Check out some of the coolest events below, and be sure to tag #LoveLoudoun in your weekend photos

Cheers to the Weekend

Fasten your seat belt and get ready for a craft beer flight to take off at the 2nd Annual LoCo Hangar Fest on Saturday, Nov. 3rd. More than 25 of Loudoun’s LoCo Ale Trail breweries invite you to spend the day with them inside a unique destination: the ProJet Hangar at the Leesburg Airport! Purchase your boarding passes today for this can’t-miss chance to sample 50+ beers and chat with local brewmasters. The LoCo Ale Trail will also be brewing a special one-time release batch: LoCo Ale Trail Saison. Samples of this limited-edition brew will be available at the Hangar Fest with a donation to HeroHomes. With beer, food, music and more, LoCo Hangar Fest is the premier indoor fall beer festival of Northern Virginia!

Head on out to Dirt Farm Brewing for a taste of the south, Northern Virginia style, at the brewery’s Low Country Boil! Pair delicious food and farm fresh brews with the beautiful fall weather and spectacular views. Dirt Farm has plenty of outdoor tables, seating, an outdoor fireplace and an indoor taproom. See you on the mountain!

Join Creek’s Edge for the winery’s Annual Oyster Feast! Enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters (raw, fried and Rockefeller), hushpuppies, mac n' cheese, and clam chowder. You will also receive a glass of your favorite Creek's Edge wine. Live music will keep this family-friendly party going!

Awesome Autumn

Ahh, autumn... we just can’t get enough of its beautiful weather and colorful foliage. It’s time for sweaters, apple cider and… Halloween! That’s right — draw out your goodbyes to the spooky season at this weekend’s Superhero Fall KidsFest - Halloween Bash. Dress up and have some fun in your favorite superhero costumes at Ida Lee Park! Enjoy a full day of activities for kids and adults alike. If you’re in the mood to shop, peruse the arts & crafts vendors for some awesome gifts, just in time for the holidays. There will be delicious BBQ, a seasonal crafting station, live music for your entertainment and lots of activities for kids (think, field games and moon bounces)!

Bring your leftover Jack-O-Lantern to Great Country Farms and give it a proper send-off at the Pumpkin Chunkin'! Smash pumpkins yourself at the Silo Drop and the Zip Wire Sploosh. Or, bring your pumpkin to the Pumpkin Drop Zone and watch it fall from a 40-foot lift! Wonder what happens with all the smashed pumpkins? The pigs and cows love to eat them and the rest is turned into compost so nothing goes to waste. Your pumpkins will love you for giving them one final ride. Let ‘em fly at this epic smashin’ session! While you’re there, fuel up on The Roosteraunt Concession Stand’s famous Cider Donuts and enjoy wagon rides and live music. Come on out for this smashing-good time and end Halloween season with a bang!

Don’t miss your last chance for a good spook at Shocktober! Head to Loudoun's infamous haunt if you feel brave enough to face the horrors around every corner. Paxton Manor is Northern Virginia’s only REAL Haunted House and the best destination for Halloween entertainment in the DC area! Creep through the 32 rooms and basement of terror, then qualm your fears with the Loudoun County beers and wine on sale. Don’t forget that they scare because they care: all proceeds from Shocktober benefit The Arc of Loudoun, a full-service nonprofit that serves children with disabilities and their families!

When the Sun Goes Down

Looking for more nighttime excitement this weekend? Take advantage of daylight savings and fall back in time at 80s Night with The Reagan Years! Dance the night away with the East Coast's Original 80's tribute band, who will keep the Tally Ho Theater rockin’ and rollin’ all night long. They’ve got your absolute favorite covers by the greatest male and female stars from the MTV era! Whether you’re a fan of Pop, Rock, New Wave or Heavy Metal, you’ll find yourself shouting “This is my JAM!” every couple of songs. Sing along at the top of your lungs to the most massive 80s hits and show us your moves, too!

Do you enjoy vintage photographs, private diaries, and dusty tomes? The National Sporting Library & Museum’s secrets will be revealed in a special Night Tour at the Library! This thrilling program will take place in the library’s lower level, which houses some of NSLM’s rarest archives. From 20th century memoirs to 18th-century manuscripts, get an exclusive view of letters and papers from some of the most notable equestrians of yesteryear. What will you uncover?
