Cinco de Mayo on the LoCo Ale Trail

Enjoy your Cinco de Mayo Dirt Farm style! Enjoy Mexican-style food specials from the Kitchen Workshop to get you in the festive spirit, along with a new beer release: Tequila Barrel Aged Lager! Brewed with Byde My Time lager and aged in tequila barrels, this beer has all of your favorite flavors of a lager with subtle hints of tequila, vanilla, oak and caramel from the barrels. Now, that sounds like una deliciosa cerveza!

Come celebrate Cinco De Mayo with Old Ox in honor of the release of the brewery’s Funky Face: Margarita Gose! The Funky Face series is a collection of specialty beers that explore the tart and sour side of craft brewing. This beautifully simple and refreshingly tart American sour is infused with lime juice, salt and sweet orange peel. ¡Salud! As if that didn’t sound good enough on its own, you can also enjoy your pint of Funky Face with a frozen margarita topping for a beer margarita! First 50 people will get a free festive glass included! The Los Wingeez food truck will be serving up your favorite tacos and other Mexican fare.

An Artisanal Weekend

This Friday marks the grand opening of the The May Maker Market, a limited time pop-up shop by wld wst open every Saturday this May from 11am - 6pm! The Market will feature a carefully curated selection of local luxuries for self-care, enhancing the home and gifting to others. The shop will also feature a crafted collection of botanicals including potted plants and cut flower bouquets for Mother's Day. Come shop throughout the month to meet some of the talented makers, taste wine, sip coffee and tea, slurp popsicles and enjoy old town Leesburg!

Come on out this Saturday for Breaux’s first ever Wine Bottle Succulent Planter Workshop! Sip on delicious wine and laugh with friends as you create your one-of-a-kind succulent garden in a recycled wine bottle. This workshop will be held in the winery’s beautiful Grand Acadia Ballroom, which features almost 360 degrees of windows with views of the surrounding vines and mountains. All supplies and instruction as well as your first glass of wine will be included, and there will be food for purchase available. As a special celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Saturday will also be Breaux’s Sangria release day. Get your green thumbs ready and join in on this fun event!

History in the Making

As part of the Town of Leesburg’s First Friday festivities, take advantage of a unique opportunity to explore an exhibition of historic court records bearing the signatures of famous Virginians and Americans! The highlight of this “Famous Signatures” exhibit at the Historic Old Courthouse will be the original Last Will and Testament of President George Washington — the first ever exhibit of George Washington’s will in Loudoun County! Other documents on display will include those signed by some of America’s Founding Fathers, Presidents and other famous Americans — such as prominent civil rights activist Charles Houston and Walt Kelly, former cartoon artist for Walt Disney Studios!

From founding fathers to football clubs — there are lots of firsts happening this weekend! Watch our Loudoun United FC team’s very first soccer match in the District at The National Conference Center’s Black Olive Bar & Grill! Join in the festivities at this Watch Party with the full Black Olive menu and two drink specials: The Unite-A-Rita and Loudoun Brewing Company's new soccer-inspired brew, Unified 🍻 Plus, if you want to see the match in person, The National can take you to and from our team’s “home away from home,” the Audi Field!
