Fun on the Farm

Spend a weekend in the country exploring Loudoun County’s farms! Come visit the beautiful Loudoun Valleys, with views of the Blue Ridge and Short Hill mountains — all just minutes west of Washington. Enjoy free, self-guided driving tours to participating farms and craft beverage venues. Check out the participants on this year’s Spring Farm Tour and click here to download a PDF of the brochure. We’ll meet you down on the farm!

Feeling Artsy

If you prefer artistic activities, head to #HuntCountry to celebrate the opening of the “Canter & Crawl: The Glass Sculpture of Joan Danziger” exhibit at the National Sporting Library & Museum! The evening will include a reception, an exhibition viewing and a lecture by artist Joan Danziger. Stimulating the imagination, Danzinger’s vibrant wire and glass-shard sculptures are inspired by the spirit of the horse and the jewel-like nature of insects.

Keep the p{art}y going in Middleburg! Explore artwork from more than 17 local and regional artists that will be on display on Madison Street all day Saturday for Art in the Burg. This celebration of the arts is your chance to connect with artists, discuss their creative process and get a rare opportunity to purchase original works of art without gallery fees! Live music, an exciting raffle and historic downtown Middleburg’s excellent shopping and dining options will make this weekend one to remember.

Wine for the Weekend

We know you love our vino here in #DCsWineCountry, but this Friday is your chance to sample wines from the Pacific Northwest with The National's Chief Wine Officer and Sommelier Mary Watson-DeLauder. Learn, sip and taste some of Mary’s favorite wines, paired with small bites created by Executive Chef Frank Estremera!

If your inner artiste has been awakened, spend a relaxing afternoon laughing, listening to music and creating a one-of-a-kind work! Willowcroft Farm Vineyards and Winery 32 are both hosting Paint & Sip events on Sunday. With talented instructors to walk you through every step of your creative process, it’s only a matter of time before you whip up a masterpiece as you sip delicious Loudoun wine!
