board game night

It’s All Fun and Games

NYC underground comedy is coming for Leesburg! Grab a seat in MacDowell’s Brew Kitchen’s back lounge for a little Saturday night stand-up. Treat yourself to nonstop laughs at the brewpub's Comedy Night, courtesy of two of Brooklyn’s finest comics: Adam Gabel and Michael Terry. After you’ve got the giggles from the show, spin around the dance floor at the DJ’d afterparty!

Question: Where can you find some good, old-fashioned friendly competition this weekend?
Answer: Pour House Trivia at 868 Estate Vineyards!
Find out who your most valuable friends are when you put your posse to the test at trivia night! Demonstrate your expansive knowledge of useless facts as you go head to head for glory and prizes. No team? No problem! Walk in admission-free and join a group of new buddies at 868. Good thing you watched all that “Jeopardy” over the holidays!

If you’re more Jenga than Jeopardy, head to Board Game Night at Blend Coffee! Unleash your inner child upon shelves and shelves of games for a night of friends and festivities. Why be bored at home when you get your game on? Ready, Player 1 🙋‍♂️

For the Lifelong Learners

Cocktail class is in session at Catoctin Creek! Learn about a variety of liquors at this Purcellville distillery’s five-part educational series, The Art of the Cocktail: Flavors of the World. Sign up for the extracurricular of your dreams and explore various flavors from around the world as founder Scott Harris personally guides you through the construction of old classics and modern spins on the cocktail! There will be samples for sharing, and you are encouraged to buy bottles to take home for practice. Lots of practice 😉 We’re officially ready for our Master of Mixology degree 🎓

From mastering mixology to making music — "We Are the Music Makers: Preserving the Soul of America’s Music" is the Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center’s new multimedia collection of photographs, audio recordings and video from Tim Duffy, founder of Music Maker Relief Foundation. This exhibition will educate and engage viewers in the cultural history of Southern traditional tunes! Let the music play 🎶

Come for the music and stay for the stars at Franklin Park’s PLANETARIUM Show: “Sky Stories” ✨ Honestly, how could you not be curious about outer space?! Astronauts of all ages, step inside Digitalis Delta 4 inflatable planetarium to experience the wonder of space, visit the galaxies, launch to the moon and learn to identify constellations.
