Eggciting Times before Easter

Join the good folks at Dirt Farm Brewing for an old-fashioned fish fry on Good Friday! The Kitchen Workshop will be serving beer-battered whiting fish with hand-cut fries, coleslaw and bread for a relaxing evening on the mountain.

Celebrate the beginning of spring in the historic Morven Park gardens with games, crafts, egg hunts and the park’s popular egg roll down the Davis Mansion lawn this Saturday. Be sure to meet rabbits from the 4H Leaps and Squeaks Rabbit Club, and take your own family photo with the Easter Bunny himself in the garden. Don’t forget to bring a basket and a large spoon for the activities!

On Saturday, head to Greenhill Winery & Vineyards for an Adult Easter Egg Hunt! Enjoy a mimosa made with Greenhill’s award-winning Blanc De Blancs (also available on Sunday), all-day access to the exclusive, historic clubhouse and a fun hunt for over 200 eggs with prizes varying from gifts like candy and free glasses of wine, to merchandise and a golden egg prize! Bring Your Own Basket!

Brunchin’ & Munchin’

Join our friends at The National for a festive and bountiful Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt! Adults can indulge in a lavish champagne brunch featuring a gourmet omelet station, a decadent waffle station, succulent seafood display, premium carvery station and a chocolate fountain with assorted toppings, while the little ones nibble on kid-friendly fare at the Junior Bunny Buffet. Bring your basket for the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunts for kids! Over 3,000 eggs will be hidden by the Easter Bunny himself, filled with prizes and candy. Take home a family photo with the Easter Bunny, decorate Easter cookies and Easter-themed crafts and enjoy an Easter kids’ movie on the big screen!

For a brunch fit for a master chef, head to Roots 657’s Easter Brunch Buffet on Sunday! With delectable offerings such as a mojito melon salad, carved strawberry beaujolais glazed ham and warm pepper salmon smoked with grape vines from Loudoun County, this is sure to be a brunch for the books!

Lemon ricotta pancakes, asparagus almondine and top round roast are just some of the dishes that await the lucky brunchers at the Embassy Suites Dulles North’s Easter feast! Hop on over, and prepare for deliciousness.

If you're looking for an authentic farm-to-table experience, make your reservation at Grandale Vintner’s Table for a grand Easter lunch. The three-course prix fixe menu is full of delicious spring choices — and, new this year, your child (10 and under) can enjoy their own specialty prix fixe! After lunch, walk over to the 868 Estate tasting room to enjoy a glass of wine or tasting in 868’s relaxing space. Better than a bunny in your basket, try 868’s chocolate truffle tasting – four housemade chocolates, paired with six wines for just $16!

Easter at the Resorts

Celebrate Easter with family and friends at Lansdowne Resort and Spa with the annual Easter Day brunch, featuring holiday favorites for everyone to enjoy. Lansdowne’s award-winning culinary team will offer a wide array of menu items including carved Virginia Ham, omelet, dim sum and risotto stations. Also, an assortment of signature items from Coton & Rye, meat and cheese selected from local artisans and delicious desserts will be featured during the brunch! Get in the Easter spirit with fun activities like build-a-bunny and pics with chicks and bunnies, plus festivities like egg coloring, egg toss, egg roll and, of course, an egg hunt! Who will find the golden egg?!

Hop over to Salamander Resort & Spa’s ballroom and visit with the Easter Bunny while enjoying a delicious brunch buffet with sweet and savory holiday favorites for the entire family. The brunch will also feature a make-your-own keepsake designing station as well as a photo opportunity with the Easter bunny!

If you plan on spending the morning at home enjoying your Easter basket treats, visit Harrimans Virginia Piedmont Grill that evening for a festive family-style dinner with springtime favorites. Served for sharing, enjoy time with your loved ones over a delicious dinner while taking in the sweeping views of the Virginia countryside, and visits from the Easter Bunny himself!
