I cannot wait for this long weekend! Hopefully, you get Monday off too and can enjoy a little extra Loudoun this weekend. During the warmer months, holiday weekends are spent outside with friends and family eating great food and enjoying local Loudoun craft beverages. Since that is a little harder to do in February, I thought I'd share some great events happening this weekend to stimulate the body and mind instead:
Wings: Hollywood Goes to War - February 17
Join the National Air and Space Museum as it kicks off its Hollywood Goes to War: World War I on the Big Screen film series with Wings. This silent film classic, with its incredible aerial combat scenes, is among the most important films ever made. In 1929 it won the first-ever Academy Award presented for Best Picture, and an additional one for Best Effects. Once a month, join them as they screen Hollywood’s finest feature films on World War I and explore how the war and its far-reaching effects have been represented and interpreted on the big screen. Yoga & Drinks - February 18
Roll our your mat in Loudoun County's newest sports pub - Miller's Ale House! Join Erin Sonn, RYT, of Eat.Yoga.Drink. for an all-levels, hour-long vinyasa flow, followed by rehydrating drinks at the bar. Your ticket includes the invigorating yoga journey AND your first drink after class. Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you'll enjoy this unique experience, combining bending, boozing, and bonding with a fun community! Be sure to reserve your tickets online.
