The Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association is now Emmy Award-winning!
This past Saturday, the Visit Loudoun Heritage Series Videos were awarded an Emmy! The videos were created to introduce visitors and potential visitors to the heritage and culture of Loudoun county through short clips highlighting wineries, historic towns and villages, events and much more.
We are thrilled to be honored with this award, which is known as the industry’s benchmark for the recognition of television excellence. The honor came from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a nonprofit, professional organization. The Emmy was awarded in the Chesapeake Heritage Program category, which had nine entries and three nominations.
Oprah herself was in attendance for the ceremony! Click here for some photos of Oprah and the ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The videos are available to view on our Visit Loudoun HD YouTube channel.
Congratulations to all the other 2008 winners! We were in excellent company.
