Let’s get one thing straight: when it comes to your wedding, you are 100% allowed to insist on whatever it takes to make your dream come true. The florals should create just the right vibe, the catering choices should make your heart sing… and so on, down to the very last detail.
Our Loudoun County wedding professionals can craft a stunning wedding in any style, depending on your vision. Today, Vida Events is showcasing something we’re particularly good at here in DC’s Wine Country: rustic chic weddings ✨ We hope you’re inspired by this wedding photoshoot — directed, styled and propped by Maria Barrale and Megan Lentz, lead planners and owners of Vida Events. As this shoot demonstrates, every element from the calligraphy to the cake, can clearly be customized to your love story.

Loudoun County, Virginia is quickly becoming a go-to wedding destination! With a wide variety of venues — vineyards, barns, country clubs and estate properties — any couple can create a dream wedding here. We’re also surrounded by creative vendors and meeting amazing new ones every day. From florists to bakers to calligraphers, Loudoun is bursting with talent, making it an ideal place to host your wedding.
With this styled shoot, we decided to showcase a more intimate side of Loudoun County weddings. We created an inspiration board that we shared with a carefully selected crew of our favorite rustic vendors. We trusted their creativity, judgement and experience and let their imagination take over. We were wowed with what each vendor brought to the table — literally!
Megan McGlynn, the amazing artist and owner of Scout’s Bakeshop, created a masterpiece with her decadent, watercolor-painted cake. She incorporated every detail from our inspiration board and it could not have been a more perfect fit for our vision. Not only was it a gorgeous cake, it was also delicious and paired beautifully with Walsh Family Wines, another Loudoun vendor at the shoot.
Bee’s Wing Farm pulled the whole thing together with her choice of greenery, all foraged from her backyard in Bluemont, VA. Her use of eucalyptus, ferns and other local greens brought such a natural feel to our table and bridal bouquet.
All vendors that participated in this shoot were so amazing to work with. Their creativity and design came together perfectly and allowed us to create this beautiful styled shoot. Our goal was to showcase another side of Loudoun County weddings: the side that is intimate and rustic, yet full of details. All of the work that went into this shoot came from Loudoun County creatives that truly love what they do, as you can tell by their work. We hope you enjoy this collection as much as we enjoyed creating it. Hopefully, we’ve inspired you to #SayIDoInLoudoun 💜
