Whether you’re already a fan of Virginia wine or if you’re looking to learn more about what makes Virginia wines special, the Virginia Education Tent at Epicurience Virginia is where you’ll want to be this Saturday. Presented by Virginia Wine and Virginia Tourism, the education tent will feature master winemakers, sommeliers, food producers, and culinary experts educating attendees on the flavor experiences of Virginia.

The day kicks off with an introduction to Virginia wine from wine educator Lawrence Camp of Breaux Vineyards. We’ll have a panel of Loudoun winemakers exploring the wines and terroir of Loudoun County. “Wine chic” Mary Watson will show you how herbs can change the flavors of a wine on your palate during her popular Herb and Wine Pairing session. Jason Tesauro is an engaging and passionate personality and knows the ins and outs of the Virginia wine world and his session on Viognier, Virginia’s signature grape, is one you won’t want to miss. We’ll have a Virginia cheese and wine pairing and lamb from Border Springs Farm prepared three ways, each paired with a Virginia Wine. Finally, learn about Virginia’s newest AVA, Middleburg, from the woman who spearheaded the creation of this viticultural area, Rachel Martin of Boxwood Estate Winery.
