Shocktober

Ready for some PG-13 spooks? Northern Virginia’s only REAL Haunted House is not for the faint of heart. Air & Scare

Explore the scary side of space at “Air & Scare,” the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center’s annual Halloween event on October 26th. Participate in creepy crafts, spooky science experiments and other Halloween-themed activities like trick-or-treating among the planes, helicopters and rare aircraft. Arrive in costume to get into the Halloween spirit. Fear of flying encouraged!

Loudoun Museum's Hauntings

Discover "the Real Nightlife of Leesburg!" The Loudoun Museum’s 60-75 minute walking tours take guests through historic downtown Leesburg, VA to various “spirited” locations. You’ll be guided to homes & businesses where costumed storytellers will tell ghostly tales of the town. Hear about the widow who fought to keep her house and has never left. (She even helps with the housework.) Beware of the Civil War Colonel who watches over office staff during the day and look out for other spirits that do more than go bump in the night - Boo!

Leesburg Halloween Parade

Hosted since 1957, the Leesburg Halloween Parade is the longest running Halloween parade east of the Mississippi! Join in the Halloween fun at Loudoun's premier Halloween parade on the big day — October 31st. Starting at 6 pm over 100 police, fire, and rescue units, high school marching bands, decorated floats, classic cars, walkers, and more will make their way from Ida Lee Park, through Historic Downtown Leesburg, all the way to Safeway down King Street. Thousands of Halloween lovers along the one-mile route will be entertained and delighted with candy and other Halloween treats!

Loudoun's Largest Halloween Party

Is your version of “trick-or-treating” tasting your way through the LoCo Ale Trail? Then Loudoun’s Largest Halloween Party is your scream come true! Celebrate Halloween with this all-inclusive beer and food festival at The National Conference Center on November 2. More than 25 breweries from the LoCo Ale Trail will be onsite pouring a variety of devilishly delicious beers and Loudoun wine. The National’s Executive Chef will also prepare a gourmet menu of pork sliders with house-made sauces, hot dogs (including vegan dogs), sides of coleslaw and bbq chips.
