Here in DC’s Wine Country, food and wine festivals are one of our favorite reasons to visit Loudoun in the summer time. Loudoun’s farms, vineyards, and towns and villages make the most of the summer season’s bounty of good weather and good produce, and invite you to celebrate that bounty with us. Here’s a list of upcoming festivals and what to expect at each:
June 15th Cajun Festival at Breaux Vineyards Now in its 16th year, Breaux’s Cajun Festival is one of the must-attend wine country festivals. Join the Breaux family in celebrating their Cajun heritage with Cajun food, wine tastings, live music, vineyard hayrides, and more.
June 22nd-23rd 5th Annual Northern Virginia Brewfest This annual brewfest features over 60 breweries sampling their craft beers, food vendors including Pro Shuckers’ oysters and steamed shrimp, and live music.
July 15th Key West Fest Breaux Vineyards brings island life to wine country during their 8th annual Key West Fest. Enjoy island inspired food, live reggae music and a Jimmy Buffet cover band, wine tastings, craft vendors, and more.
July 20th Purcellville Wine & Food Festival This evening event features tastings from regional wineries, food from local vendors including some of Loudoun’s newest food trucks, and live music in historic downtown Purcellville.
July 26th-28th Bluemont BBQ Bash and Blackberry Bonanza Celebrate two favorite summertime treats – barbecue and blackberries at Great Country Farm’s annual festival. This weekend long event features several competitions including a Kansas City Barbecue Society State Certified BBQ competition, people’s choice, blackberry dessert, and a backyard barbecue competition.
