Hitchcock's Marnie, starring Tippi Hedren and Sean Connery, was filmed in part in Middleburg and featured the historic Red Fox Inn and Tavern.

Deliverance author James Dickey started the famous novel while staying at Leesburg’s Glenfiddich House. His writing desk is still on site at the house.

The comedy flick Crazy Like a Fox was written and directed by local playwright and composer Richard Squires. It was filmed primarily in western Loudoun.
