![]() ![]() Town of Round Hill
After the Leesburg and Snickers' Gap Turnpike was built between 1832 and 1833, the stagecoach began stopping in Round Hill. A post office was established in 1858. In 1875, when the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad arrived, the town began to thrive. Howell Brothers' furniture Round Hill is Loudoun's westernmost town and as the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains and nearby Appalachian Trail, offers visitors spectacular scenery and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Hill High Orchard offers some of the best pies on the east coast, a fishing pond, and a picnic area. Many Washingtonians drive out here to purchase freshly baked pies.
