All | Accommodation Food/Dining Shopping Things to DoI just loved the Bogati Bodgea Argentina inspired winery and wines. The range of wines- reds, dry and sweet whites wines - can be sampled in a setting that has been specially designed to take you on voyage. I talked the owner her name was Ashley she was so sweet and went over and beyond for us. I asked why they chose to do a agrentina theme. She said "After a family trip to Argentina, that she found the relaxing pace to be a function of the over all experience. Bogati Bodega is the attempt to recapture that relaxing, but refined, culture in our setting, seasonal menu and of course our wines." I WILL be back to vist again !!
I was pleasantly surprised by the tour. The tour folks seemed a bit disorganized when I was arranging it - phone numbers not working, slow to answer emails. Once our guide picked us up though it was fabulous. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. The lunch was great. The day very relaxed - we could stay as long as we liked at each winery. It was a little pricey but probably worth it in the long run. Having someone else drive is really the way to do this. Plus the driver knew lots of scenic back roads to travel. A great way to see the area.
Tour times are listed wrong: tours are 11 AM and 1 PM (not 2 PM).
I've loved the place for years, but found it to be really lacking the last 6 months to year. Hope they can turn it around. Not bad food at all, but not nearly as good (any more) as you would expect or would like.
Pretty good food - grumpy staff. Very informal (which is just fine sometimes!)
This is one of the finest restaurants in the area...the food is spectacular, the wine list really compliments the authentic Indian cuisine, the staff is willing to suggest menu items according to your taste...and they are extremely responsive. The tasteful decor contributes to the wonderful ambience that surrounds you from the moment you arrive. Best of all the price is very reasonable. We have been to Rangoli multiple times over this past year and have found it to be consistently excellent! Bravo Rangoli!
The Very Virginia and The Pink Shop are awesome! Love the gifts I can buy for my family that have Leesburg all over it. The onwer is amazing! Despite the fact she was technically closed, she allowed me to come in at near 9pm one evening to buy a gift I needed for that weekend. She was so helpful and so courteous - what all business owners should be. Love the 2 stores!!!!!
Very Virginia is an nice little place to pick up a souvenir or piece of Virginia memorabilia for a friend. I especially like the collection of local history books. Sola is always a delight to talk to as well.
Absolutely the BEST way to discover Virginia wine country! We thoroughly enjoyed the personal attention and top-notch customer service we received throughout the day. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about each winery and the wines that they specialized in. It was a very memorable day and one that we have recommended to all of our friends!
We live very close to this Ruby's, and used to go there about 3-4 times per month. The Dulles South Youth Sports organization sold discount cards as a fundraiser for several restaurants in South Riding, including this Ruby Tuesday's. I was glad to see Ruby's offered a discount, so I bought the discount card. On our next trip to Ruby's, when I handed the card to the server to apply the discount, I was told that they "no longer honor that discount", even though the discount card had just started, and was valid for another 8 months. The server went on to explain that the local Ruby management had "made a mistake", and the offer didn't apply as it was written in the terms on the card. I protested and pointed out that the terms of the discount were clear, and that I had met the terms. The manager came over to explain that they had indeed made a mistake, and that they wouldn't offer the discount. The manager attempted to use some weird, twisted logic on how the coupon terms weren't clear and were therefore void. I was actually sort of embarrassed for her attempt to confuse the issue and weasel out of their coupon commitment. Apparently, quite a few people had been attempting to use the discount card, but they were all being told that the offer was no longer being honored. I was told that if I wished to run up the bill by adding a few additional desserts, they could 'probably apply a discount". Of course, I gave up - not wanting to make a scene. I'm guessing other people are being sent away w/o their discount cards being honored, too. I'm assuming Ruby's believes that sending a customer away unhappy like that is a good thing. Penny wise and pound foolish....Short term gain to increase traffic, while simultaneously alienating customers and sending them away unhappy, to never return again. I simply won't go there any more. It's a philosophical matter of principle on my part - the problem was with Ruby management since they no longer wished to honor the card - not the customer's problem. There are several other restaurants within a block or two - who do honor their coupon commitments. I now drive right past Ruby's and head to Rangoli's, Moe's, the South Riding Inn, and even my favorite, the Fractured Prune (albeit not for dinner!). Perhaps someone will introduce some logic to the Ruby's management team: honoring your coupons and giving a discount on a $50 bill is better than NO discount on a $0 bill, 3-4 times per month. Do the math! :> Other than my concern about that Ruby's management team's integrity for not honoring their coupon, their food was good, service adequate, and decor nice.
The scenery is what draws you in to the beautiful landscape of Doukenie Winery, but the amazing wines are what keep you there. The Whites - Mandolin, Pinot Grigio and Vin de Paille were so refreshing. The reds, especially the Petit Verdot, were bold and sassy. There is a little of everything for the wine lover at Doukenie, even on a snowy day. We have attended their festivals in the spring and fall and thoroughly loved every minute of it. We plan to return frequently as this year they will be featuring new art and cooking classes.
Stopped by Hidden Brook last weekend and really enjoyed their Cab. I was really impressed with their service and the quality of their reds. They're known for their sweet wines, and I was also impressed with their Rose. It was delicious. It's definitely a must if you're traveling on Rt. 15 and need a break.
The Pink Shop and Very Virginia is a must-stop experience when we visit old-town Leesburg. It is the perfect place to get fun, light-hearted or Virginia-themed gifts. I also love visiting with the store's owner, who is always so helpful, friendly, and happy. Thanks for always providing such a great experience!
The steak frites...oh my. Words don't express how good the steak frites always is! The wine selection is fantastic - excellent choices even by the glass. Wonderful staff and quiet, peaceful setting.
Love the chai! Friendly staff, yummy baked goods, great place to catch up with friends and neighbors!
