Advertising available in Touring Guide to Loudoun, Virginia: DC’s Wine Country®
Visit Loudoun is selling advertising for the third edition of the culinary guide. The publication is designed to entice potential visitors to come to Loudoun and experience our food and wine. It will highlight wineries, destination restaurants, food and wine events, farmers markets, cooking classes, and more. Numerous advertising opportunities are available, including display and formatted ads.  Deadline for participation is Friday, March 5, 2010. Social Media "How To" Seminar
Visit Loudoun presented an “Introduction to Social Media” seminar on Wednesday, January 20th for Loudoun tourism industry professionals. The seminar gave an overview of the marketing benefits of popular social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, and an introduction on promoting your business using those sites. The presentation was conducted by Jeremy Harvey, Director of Marketing, and Stacey Sheetz, Marketing Communications Manager. Click here to download the presentation. 

Tourism Marketing Leverage Fund
Applications are being accepted for round two of the FY 2010 Tourism Marketing Leverage Fund. The application deadline is Friday, February 12 at 5pm, with a pre-application meeting being offered on Thursday, January 28 at 6pm at the Visit Loudoun office. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-application meeting before submitting an application, even if they have applied and/or received funding in the past. Applications for Official Loudoun Destination Restaurants

Applications are now being accepted for restaurants who wish to be considered an Official Loudoun Destination Restaurant. Dining establishments may be nominated by business owners, employees, or patrons, and will be voted on by a panel of Loudoun tourism industry representatives. The dining establishment must be open for at least one year and meet certain criteria. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, February 5, 2010. 2009 Tourism Awards 
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Visit Loudoun Tourism Awards given each year during Visit Loudoun's Annual Meeting when we celebrate tourism in our community.  The 2010 Annual Meeting will be held in March. Visit Loudoun accepts award nominations on an on-going basis; the deadline to submit nominations for the 2009 Tourism Awards is Friday, January 22, 2010. LCVA becomes VISIT LOUDOUN
December 18, 2009: The Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association has unveiled a new corporate look.  Our incorporated name, the Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association, will not change, but we have branded ourselves as Visit Loudoun and have changed our logo. We will use Visit Loudoun and the new logo in all of our future communication with you and with our customers – in our emails, letters, reports, phone messages, websites, etc. Read more!
