Artist Karen Eide presents "Encaustic Painting", a special exhibit of artwork accomplished using ancient techniques. Karen Eide's richly textured encaustic and mixed media paintings are shown in exhibitions and festivals throughout the country. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has selected her to participate in their Statewide Artist Workshop Program for each of the past five years to teach and lecture about the ancient technique of encaustic painting at art centers, schools and museums throughout Virginia. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the VA Museum's Studio School where she teaches several workshops each year.
