Above Ground Winery (Formerly 29 Vines)
Description:
Located in the heart of the Historic District of Purcellville, the town’s former movie theater is now home to Loudoun’s newest and the town’s only wine tasting room. With a focus on wine education, the guests of 29 Vines will learn differences in grape varietals, environmental effects on wine and the fundamentals of wine tasting. Guests may choose to relax with a glass of wine in the sofa seating area, or enjoy a light fare in one of the vintage booths courtesy of a former local town eatery. To stay connected, patrons are invited to bring a laptop to the internet café. The eclectic mix of modern and vintage décor compliment 29 Vines varietals including Bordeaux blends and a reserve Chardonnay, with a rotating selection of other Virginia wines. Wine related gifts and local artisan creations are available for purchase in the shop.
