North Gate Vineyard
Description:
North Gate Vineyard is owned and operated by Mark and Vicki Fedor, who purchased 26 acres of land at the base of the Short Hill Mountains in 1997. They found themselves caring for a few neglected grape vines on the property, a seemingly small effort that led them on a much larger journey. They have been growing their own grapes, primarily Viognier and Petit Verdot, since 2001, and began commercially producing wine in 2003 for another winery. Now they bring their award-winning winemaking style to their own label of Loudoun wines in their LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified winery just outside of Hillsboro.
